The Bandhas

 Learn what bandhas are and how they relate to both the subtle body and physical anatomy. This workshop will also teach what the bandhas are for, and why we might (or might not) engage them in yoga practice. Through guided exercises and practices, you will gain a better understanding and experience of the four main bandhas: mula bandha (root lock), uddiyana bandha (upward-flying lock), jalandhara bandha (chin lock), and maha or treta bandha (all three of the above). There will be discussion of common misunderstandings about this topic, some time to consider other bandhas, and a chance to explore integrating bandha work into your personal practice and your teaching.
